Farewell Stockholm

The Volvo Open 70 boats have left Sandhamn and are battling it out on Leg 10 of the 400 nautical mile stretch to St Petersburg. Puma, Ericsson 4 and Telefonica Blue had a strong start.

• Niklas Amundson: official artist for the Stockholm Stopover 2009-05-27 Niklas Amundson is the official artist for the Stockholm and Marstrand Stopovers and has produced a series of unique paintings to commemorate the event. The motifs are painted on sailing canvas.
• Reports from the Atlantic 2009-05-22 Roger Nilson is navigator on Telefonica Black and reports from the race on our website. The boats are now in the middle of the Atlantic, on their way to Galway in Ireland.
• Lots of sailing, entertainment and activities 2009-05-18 Not only will the worlds’ fastest sailing yachts be present during Volvo Ocean Race. There will also be entertainment from eminent Swedish artists like Charlotte Perrelli, Alcazar, The Poodles and Eric Gadd. The event is free to the public.
